KRAMER Died April 24, 2025-age 94, of Portland. Born December 24, 1930 in Lyons township, son of August & Elizabeth (Stump) Kramer. Jerry was a faithful member of St.Patrick Catholic Church for many years. A proud veteran, served his country with honor as a member of the U.S. Marine Corp. A past commander of the American Legion Post #129 & member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 2168. Jerry dedicated 42 years of hard work for Fisher Body. He enjoyed cheering on his children & grandchildren in sporting events. He also shared his love of sports as an umpire for many years. Jerry will be remembered fondly for his devotion to his family, strong work ethic, & his friendly smile. Preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife of 69 years,Janette (Smith)Kramer; brother, Robert (Shirley)Kramer, sister, Marguerite (Don) Cook- Bitner; sisters-in-law,Helen,Irene,Rita,Marie & Margaret; brother-in-law, Charles. Survived by his children, Doug (Lynne) Kramer, Fred (Jude)Kramer, Sue (Stacey) Bosworth, Kathy (Sharon Breton) Kramer, Jean (Jon) Shattuck, Ken (Kim) Kramer, Karen(Tony) Trierweiler & Mary (Ken)Cook; grandchildren, Kyle, Kevin, Krysta, Zachary, Jacob, Morgan, Mallory, Mariah, Jennifer, Anna, Daniel, Nick, Kellie, Clara, Brandon, Patrick, Travis, Kasey, Tyler, Kenzie, Logan, Leah & Shane; & many nieces & nephews. Heartfelt Thank You to Jerry's caregivers throughout the years, especially Jo Phelps, Nancy Thelen & Angie Weber for their kindness & compassion they have shown. Visitation from 1-4:30 p.m & 6:30 p.m. Wednesday April 30, 2025 at the Lehman Funeral Home, Portland. Rosary will be prayed at 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr.Mike Alber at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2025 at St.Patrick Catholic Church, Portland.
