Krampe, 72, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013. She was born on Aug. 26, 1940, in Detroit, the daughter of Jacob and Dorothy (Mueller) Van Loo. Judy graduated from Belding High School in 1958, graduated from Montcalm Community College in 1976 as an LPN and was a member of AA since 1973. Judy was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, served as church pianist for many years, and was active in the church food pantry. She was a volunteer at Sparrow-Ionia Hospital, in the gift shop, was involved with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, being chosen as Big Sister of the year in 1978 and was a scout leader in Ionia and Belding. Judy was known as “Grandma Judy” for many years at Ionia Public Schools as a foster grandparent. Surviving are her sons, David S. (Kristina) Krampe of Belding, and Daniel R. Krampe of Ionia; daughter, Michelle A. (Larry) Richardson of Rockford; grandchildren, Jennifer (Aaron) Clark, Rachael (Ryan) Decker, Erica Krampe, Kassandra (Byron) Holderman, and Jacob (Britney Petersen) Hardin, Jessica Richardson, Lawrence Richardson; great-grandchildren, Zachary Decker, Caleb Decker, Mya Thompson, Angelina Decker, Mahki Thompson, Adelaide Holderman, Jayden and Josiah Decker, Aubrey Clark and baby-to-be Holderman; brothers, Theodore (Carol) Van Loo of Belding, and Dr. Timothy (Doris) Van Loo of Sweden; sister, Martha Smith of Alaska. The memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the Zion United Methodist Church, Ionia, with Pastor Cliff Allen presiding. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the church. Interment will take place at a later date at River Ridge Cemetery, Belding. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes, Ionia. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Zion United Methodist Food Pantry, in memory of Judy.
