The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, August 3, 1934
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the home in Orange township 
at 1 o’clock, and from the Sebewa church at 2 o’clock, for Mrs. Richard 
Krause, who died Friday as the result of burns receive in an explosion of 
kerosene, while trying to start a fire in a kitchen stove.  Bearers for the 
services were her six brothers.  Interment was at Danby cemetery.

Mrs. Krause was born in Orange township in 1909, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
Lon Sanborn.  She was married to Richard Krause, also of Orange, in 1930.  She 
leaves her husband, two children, Lawrence, three years old, and Charles, six 
months old; her father, Lon Sanborn of Sebewa, and six brothers.
