Ionia Sentinel - 5 March 1966
Mrs. Daisy Mae Krauss, 78, formerly of 155 East Main street, died Friday 
afternoon at a Lowell nursing home following an illness of several years.

She was born in Petoskey, April 8, 1887 the daughter of Warren and Caroline 
Purchase Wheeler, and attended Emmett county public schools.  Mrs. Krauss was a 
member of First Baptist church of Ionia and CCW class.  She lived in Grand 
Rapids, prior to coming to Ionia about 11 years ago to reside with her brother, 
Fred Wheeler.  She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lorraine Morrison of Grand 
Rapids; two brothers, Fred and Ernest Wheeler of Ionia; and one grandchild.

Funeral service will be at Myers funeral home Monday at 2 pm.  The Rev. John W. 
Tennyson of Grand Blanc Baptist church, formerly of Ionia First Baptist church, 
will officiate and interment will be at Balcom cemetery.
