          LYDIA KREBS PASSES AWAY
   Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia Krebs, 81, route one, Sunfield were held Tuesday
afternoon, September 7, at 
Mapes-Fisher Funeral Home at Sunfield.  Rev. Edgar Perkins, pastor of Woodbury
United Brethren Church 
officiated with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
   Mrs. Krebs passed away September 4 at  Lansing General Hospital where she had
been hospitalized two 
weeks.
   She was born January 25, 1890 in Sunfield township, the daughter of Adam and
Catherine Dell and was a 
lifelong resident of the area.
  She married Ernest Krebs on April 10, 1912 and they observed their 50th wedding
anniversary in 1962.  Mr. 
Krebs passed away August 24, 1962.
   She was a member of Woodbury United Brethren Church and the Women's Missionary
Society.
   Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Jean) Steward of rural Sunfield; two foster
sons, William Wickham of 
Hollywood, Fla. and Max Wichkam of Brea, Calif.; a sister, Mrs Nora Valdays of Lake
Odessa and three 
children.
