Sentinel-Standard - Tuesday, June 30, 1953

Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia M. Kries, 59, who died at her home at 319 State 
street Thursday, June 25, following a lingering illness of six months were held 
Monday at 11 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal church. The Rev. Fr. Roger J. Bunday 
officiated.

Preceding the church service a prayer service for the family was conducted at 
the Boynton funeral home.

Burial was in Forest Home cemetery in Greenville.

Bearers were A.M. Burnett, Vernon Shotwell, P.T. Mitchell, Roy Weber, Harvey 
Gustafson and Robert Berry.

Attending the services from out of town were P.T. Mitchell of Sunfield, Mr. and 
Mrs. Robert Mitchell and Major and Debby Smith of Petoskey, Lt. Commdr. Herman 
Kries of San Diego, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Perry and Mr. and Mrs. 
Robert Perry of Evart.
