Krellwitz, 76, of 331 Division street, died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday of a heart attack after being ill for a number of years. Mr. Krellwitz was born in Houghton, June 22, 1868 and lived there until he came to Ionia in 1921 to take a position as guard at the Michigan state reformatory. At Houghton he had been employed by the state in several capacities. His family moved to Ionia in 1922. During the 17 years of his employment at the reformatory Mr. Krellwitz became assistant steward and in 1937 was forced to give up his position following an emergency operation. He never was able to resume work following the operation and during recent years had been ill with a heart ailment. He is survived by his wife, and seven children. A son, T/4 Frank Krellwitz, is with the United States army in England attached to the medical unit. His surviving daughters are Mrs. Robert James, Miss Helen Krellwitz, Mrs. Denard O. Caswell, and Mrs. Willis Jepson, all of Ionia; Mrs. Francis Schafer of Detroit and Miss Genevieve Krellwitz of Washington. There are 10 surviving grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Emma Schwartz, of Milwaukee, also survives. Funeral services will be conducted from SS. Peter and Paul church Tuesday at 9 a.m. with interment at mt. Olivet cemetery. The Rev. Fr. E.
