Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 20 Jun 1957

Paul Rudolph Kress, 83, died Thursday morning at 5:45 at the Ionia County
Memorial hospital.  He was born April 11, 1874 in Germany.

He is survived by 10 children, five sons and five daughters: Edward P. of
Seattle, Wash., Paul H. of Battle Creek, George H. of Ionia, Clarence E. of
Adrian, and Lawrence H. of LaCrosse, Wis.  Daughters are Mrs. Ernest (Millie)
Gordon of Ionia, Mrs. Elmer (Isabel) Geik of Benton Harbor, Mrs. Ralph (Thelma)
Osborn of Sparta, Wis., Mrs. Murrel (Doris) Jinks of Ionia and Mrs. Thomas
(Alice) Sullivan of Grand Rapids.  He also leaves 15 grandchildren, 7
great-grandchildren, and one brother Edward, of Saginaw, and numerous nieces and
nephews.  His wife preceded him in death January 27, 1944.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Myers funeral home. 
The Rev. George Rentschler will officiate and burial will be in Highland Park
cemetery.
