Dorothea S. (Dee) Krey, aged 86 of Ionia, passed away April 1, 2015.  She was
born Feb. 9, 1929, in Highland Park, Michigan, the daughter of Andrew and
Dorothy Rose (Harris) Henderson.

She married Gordon Krey Oct. 9, 1956, in Detroit.  Dee was a member of the St.
John’s Lutheran Church in Ionia where she was very active including teaching
Sunday School and Making Banners.  She was famous for hand-painted blown eggs.

Dee is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Gordon Krey of Ionia;
children, Amy Lynn (Scott) Murphy of Missouri, Andrew Krey of Illinois and
Robert Krey of Caledonia; and grandchildren Christopher and Samantha Murphy of
Missouri.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Gordon and
Andrew.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 6 at 11 a.m. at the St. John’s
Lutheran Church with Pastor Joe Fremer officiating.  Visitation will be on
Monday 10 a.m. until the time of services at the Church.  In lieu of flowers
contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church.  Arrangements by Lake
Funeral Home in Ionia.
