Krick, 87, of Ionia, passed away at his home on Monday evening June 24, 2024, surrounded by a houseful of hi loving family. Born on July 4, 1936, in Ionia, Keith was the son of Mason and Bernice (White) Krick. He graduated with the class of 1955 from Ionia High School. In 1961, he married Janet Hall, and together they enjoyed 36 years of marriage until her passing in 1997. Keith was hired into the prison system and spent over 20 year working for the Michigan Department of Corrections before retiring. A quiet man with a strong demeanor and dry sense of humor. Keith was the strong and silent type, he enjoyed the outdoors and would spend hours working in the yard or "just watching the grass grow". He was a master mechanic and could fix just about anything, he loved to tinker, was an excellent handyman, and was always working on something. He loved animals and spending time with his family. Keith is survived by his children; Kendall (Lynne) Krick, Keri (Jeffrey) Washburn, Kevin Krick, his grandchildren: Kyle Krick, Kori Krick, Megan Eilar, Bethany Borton, Matthew Krick, his great-grandchildren; Jimi, William, Nova, Michael Jr., and his beloved dog; Henry. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife;Janet, a son;Kurtis Krick in 2008, and a brother and sister-in-law; Basil and Colleen Krick. Graveside services for Keith will be on Friday, July 5th at 12:00 p.m. at Orleans township Cemetery with a memorial gathering following at the Ionia Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, 869 E.Lincoln Ave.,Ionia, from 1-4 pm. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Keith may be directed to the Ionia County Animal Shelter. The family would like to extend a special thank you to West Michigan Hospice and all the Sparrow Hospitals, especial Ionia, for the kindness and compassion they showed Keith.The care and comfort he received will not be forgotten.
