Mr. Krieger was a retired business man, having been in business at Lake Odessa, Alto and Lowell. He owned the block used as post office and living rooms, the one used by Kroger store and Elfstrom shoe store, also a building used as part of the Shupp restaurant, a business block in Ionia and other property in this village besides considerable personal property. He was vice president of the Union Bank here at the time of his death. His wife died several years ago. Mr. Krieger was very fond of flowers and his garden near the railroad station was always one of beauty every summer. The deceased leaves two brothers, Edward and Frank in Ionia, and three sisters, Mrs. Charles Topp of Scott, Mrs. Jack Leffler of Detroit, and Mrs. George Reiser of Lake Odessa. The funeral will be held Friday at the church of Saints Peter and Paul at 9 a.m. and burial will be at Ionia. The stores will close Friday morning from 8:00 to 9:30 on account of the funeral of Mr. Krieger.
