She was born in Sioux City, Iowa, on Nov. 20, 1937, the daughter of Martha Hofeldt and Lewis Hicks. Donna worked for the Greenville Public Schools for 22 years and enjoyed camping, playing bingo, going to the casino and spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren. Donna was preceded in death by her mother and father, Martha and Lewis Hicks; mother and father-in-law, Florence and Eugene Kroesing Sr.; daughter-in-law, Judy Kroesing; niece, Linda Grofjohn; and her brother-in-law, Albert “Ward” Huntley. She is survived by her husband Eugene, Jr.; two daughters and sons-in-law, LaDonna and David Adams of Greenville and Deborah and Dan Roger of Trufant; four sons and daughters-in-law, Sgt. Eugene Robert Kroesing and Shirley Brown of Sheridan, currently home from Iraq, Duane and Patty Kroesing of Muskegon, Jim and Cindy Kroesing of Gowen, Gary Kroesing and Paula Flores of Greenville; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn and Bob Schroeder of Sioux City, Iowa. Donna is also survived by her husband’s family, Tom and Edna Kroesing of Paris, Skip and Trudy Kroesing of Marion, Helen and Dick Patterson of Florida, Mary Reed of Arkansas, Nancy Huntley of Greenville, Bob and Flo Cosby of White Cloud; very special friends, Jerry and Arlene Behrenwald, Tom Hansen, Gene and Dale Peterson, Fred and Sandy Schultz all of Greenville; and many friends who loved Donna and will miss her dearly. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, with Tom Hansen officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Garden. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to Noon and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions can be made in Donna’s name to the Hospice of Grand Rapids.
