He was born March 4, 1869, in Germany, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Krueger. He moved to this country when he was sixteen. He was employed at the car shops and later the Ypsilanti Reed. He has been retired for some time. He served during the Spanish-American war. He is s member of St. John's Lutheran church. He was married to Margaret Roth in Chicago who preceded him in death. Surviving are four daughters, Helen of Ionia, Mrs. Floyd Guernsey of Shiloh, and Mrs. Charles Hermans and Mrs. Bertha Bassler of Kalamazoo; a son, Henry of California; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Peter Diehm of Ionia; and a brother, Frank of Kalamazoo. Funeral services will beheld Friday at 2 p.m. from the Stone-Kauffman funeral home. The Rev. R.A.. Rook will officiate. Interment will be in Highland Park cemetery.
