Mr. Krupp picked his wife up and as he did so she gasped a few times and was dead before he could get her to a bed in an adjoining room. Mrs. Krupp would have reached her 52nd birthday anniversary on Tuesday of this week and she had been in ill health for a number of years, her condition at times being critical. On Friday noon she told her husband that he could go at his work of cutting corn in a nearby field and that she would come out on the porch occasionally and he would be able to see her and thereby know that she was all right. It was after she failed to appear for a short time that Mr. Krupp became alarmed and went to the house. She was a daughter of Mrs. Margaret Hefferan and a sister to Tom, Lee, Melvin and John Hefferan, of Grattan and Mrs. Frank Lally, of this city. Funeral services were held Monday from St. Mary’s Catholic church Miriam and interment was made in the cemetery there.
