Ionia Sentinel – 12 March 1962
Joseph Krupp, 71, died Sunday at Belding Community hospital after a short 
illness.  He was born in Otisco Township, August 13, 1890 and had lived in 
Smyrna 20 years.  He was a farmer.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic 
Church of Miriam, and Holy Name society.  In 1918 he was married at St. Mary’s 
church to Anna Hausman who survives.  Other survivors include three sisters, 
Mrs. Nick Andres of Keene Township, Mrs. Nick Schenden of Grand Rapids and 
Mrs. Peter Rittersdorf of Belding; and one brother John of Belding.

Funeral will be Wednesday at 10 am at St. Mary’s church in Miriam.  The Rev. 
Fr. Charles E. Steves will officiate and burial will be at St. Mary’s 
cemetery.  Rosary will be recited at 9 pm. Tuesday at Huffman Funeral Home in 
Belding.

Bearers will be Karl Geiger, Jr., Ray Geiger, Leon Rich, John Ciganik, Everett 
Bowen and Clarence Rittersdorf.
