Krupp was born December 28, 1887. He was a custodian for the U.S. post office and formerly was part owner of Krupp and Kent Standard Oil Company, now Webster Bros. Krupp was a World War I veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Hugo Fales Post No. 203, St. Mary’s Church, and the Holy Name Society. He was a lifetime resident of the Belding area and lived here in the city since 1932. His wife, Emma, preceded him in death in 1960. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Mrs. J. Thomas Gilbert of Toledo, Ohio; two stepsons Donald E. Calkins of Knox, Indiana, and Sidney C. Calkins of Pleasant Ridge; three sisters, Mrs. Nick Andres of Keene Township, Mrs. Nick Schenden of Grand Rapids, and Mrs. Peter Rittersdorf of Belding. Rosary was said Tuesday evening at Huffman Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from St. Mary’s church, Miriam. Reverend Father Charles E. Steves officiated. Interment was in St. Mary’s church cemetery, Miriam, Otisco township. Serving as bearers were William Engemann, John Ciganik, Everett Bowen, Harold Albert, Leo Albert and Harold Andres.
