She had been ailing for a year. As Eliza Cameron, she was born May 28, 1883, in Owosso, the daughter of Daniel and Alice Cameron and she had lived here 50 years. She was married to F. Edward Calkins and he died in 1926. She married John Krupp in this city, June 15, 1932. She as a member of St. Mary’s Catholic church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. J. Thomas Gilbert, Toledo, Ohio, and three sons, Donald E. Calkins, Knox, Ind.; Kenneth F. Calkins, Ithaca, and Sidney C. Calkins, Pleasant Ridge; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. The rosary was recited Sunday evening at 8 o’clock at Huffman Funeral Home and funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s church with Rev. Fr. Charles E. Steves officiating and burial was in River Ridge cemetery beside her husband, F. E. Calkins. Pallbearers were David Stebbins, Sylvester Dehn, John Ciganik, Clarence Rittersdorf, Harold Andres and William Engemann.
