All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/mifiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sandy Heintzelman sheintz@iserv.net August 22, 2014, 12:01 am Belding Banner-News, 15 & 22 Nov 1928 The passing of Mrs. Kate Krupp, widow of the late Dan Krupp, long time resident of the north side, took place at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lem Tower, 521 Root street at about ten o’clock Wednesday morning, death being due to the infirmities of old age, Mrs. Krupp having reached the age of 74 years. Funeral services will be held at the home on Friday afternoon at two o’clock with Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating and burial will be in River Ridge cemetery. ---- Katherian Honson was born January 18, 1854 in Germany, and died November 13, at 9:30 p.m., 1928, at her home 310 E. Ellis avenue, where she has resided for over thirty-five years. When she was but a small girl she came to Michigan with her father, Michael Honson, her mother having already departed this life. At about the age of twenty she was united in marriage to John King, of this union one daughter, Mrs. Libbie Tower, was born. Mr. King departed this world only a few months after the birth of Libbie. A few years later she was wed to Daniel Krupp, of Miriam. To this union were born three daughters, Mary, Amelia and Carrie, they all having preceded their mother in death. Daniel Krupp departed this life March 4th, 1912, leaving her a widow over sixteen years. Mr. Krupp leaves one daughter, Mrs. Lem Tower, of this city; two grandchildren, Earl Swartz and Beatrice Hipshear; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Louis Honson and Joseph Honson; four sisters, Mrs. Jacob Laux, Mrs. Wm. Snyder, Mrs. D. L. Vincent. Mrs. Krupp was a great lover of children and flowers, always seen carrying a bouquet to some sick person or a friend. She was always ready with a willing hand to help wherever help was needed.
