Dr. Christian G. Krupp, 59, a native of Belding area, died Monday evening at Blodgett Hospital, Grand Rapids, after suffering a heart attack at an annexation meeting being held in Grand Rapids. He was a native of the Miriam neighborhood and was graduated from Belding High School in 1919. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Krupp. In 1952, Dr. Krupp was honored by the late Pope Pius XII with knighthood in the order of St. John Laterie for his work and efforts in sponsoring two orphanages in Italy and for his research on socialized medicine. He practiced medicine 32 years in Grand Rapids. He had a heart ailment and was semi-retired the last three years. In addition to being graduated from Belding High, Dr. Krupp was a graduate Alma college and Loyola Medicine School in Chicago. He interned at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids. Surviving are his wife, Mary; three sons, Charles, George and James, and two daughters, Miss Bernadette and Mrs. Raymond Busher, all of Grand Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. Rufus Waldron of Hastings and Mrs. Dorothy Bristol of Belding, and a brother Frank Krupp of Hastings.
