She was taken ill on Wednesday. Mrs. Krupp came to the states from her birthplace, Brantford, Ontario, Canada, when a young girl. Her parents, John and Katherine Stone Carten settled near Cannonsburg. She met and married Charles Krupp who passed away 11 years ago. Since that time she made her home among their children, all of whom survive: Dr. Christian Krupp of Grand Rapids, Frank Krupp of Belding, Mrs. Eugene Birdsall of Saranac, Mrs. George Bristol of Orleans and Mrs. Rufus Waldron of Flint. Funeral services were held Monday morning. A short prayer service was held at the Fales funeral home conducted by Rev. Frank Loomis, Methodist pastor at Saranac, after which the body was removed to St. Mary’s Catholic church, Miriam, where Fr. R.J. Kelly officiated. Burial was in St. Mary’s cemetery. Surviving besides the children are two brothers, Frank and John Carten of Ionia, also two sisters, Mrs. Fred Sumner of Detroit and Mrs. Katherine Wacha of Orleans.
