Mrs. Kuebler was born August 2, 1936 in Ionia to R. Harvey and Charlotte (Adams) Habenicht. She was a graduate of Cedar Lake Adventist Academy and later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and Performance from Emanuel Missionary College. She also earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from Andrews College. Her career included 27 years of teaching at the Village SDA Church School, a number of years at the Sorter School in Benton Harbor, and the Tom Thumb preschool in Alaska. She also taught piano and music lessons for many years. She had a love for nature, camping, traveling, reading and birding. Music was a passion and a life long pursuit. She always seemed to have a song in her head. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, and was energetically dedicated to the development of her many students. Most of all, she loved God and consecrated her life to Him and serving the SDA Church. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her - especially her family. Survivors include her husband, Dave F. Kuebler, whom she married June 15, 1958; three children, Tammy L. Wellington of Berrien Center, Todd (Ruth) Kuebler of Seattle, and Shellie A. Kuebler of Dayton, Ohio; two grandsons, Jason Wellington and Harvey Kuebler; her mother, Charlotte Habenicht of Berrien Springs; and three brothers, Robert (Ardis) Habenicht of Bryant, Ala., James (Rose) Habenicht of Oakdale, Calif., and Richard (Cherry) Habenicht of Columbus, Wis. A memorial service celebrating her life was held May 3, 2004 at Pioneer Memorial Church on the campus of Andrews University. There was no visitation. Inurnment is Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorials in her memory may be made to International Children's Care or the Student Aid fund at the Village SDA School, both in care of Legacy Family Funeral Services, Matthew R.
