Veterans Facility. He was born in Odessa Township on Aug. 2, 1900, the son of Louis and Cora (George) Kuhtz. He attended Ionia schools and fought with the Polar Bear unit in Russia during World War I. After returning to Ionia he was employed as a mechanic at Oglivie and Hanson Ford garages until his retirement. He married Pearl Lore on Dec. 25, 1925, in Muncie, Ind. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Betty Lake; one grandson, Forest Lake; two brothers, Leon and William of Ionia; one sister, Mrs. Thelma Murley of Grosse Pointe Woods; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Tuesday in Zephyrhills. Military burial rites will be conducted by the Tampa post with burial at the Oakside Cemetery.
