The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, November 19, 1973



Henry J. Kuieck, 77, 12 Wager Place, Ionia, died Sunday at Ferguson Droste 
Hospital, Grand Rapids.  He was born August 31, 1896, in Grand Rapids, the son 
of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Kuieck. 

He was married in Grand Rapids June 25, 1922 to Elizabeth DeYoung, and moved to 
Ionia in 1935.  Mr. Kuieck is a World War I veteran, and was employed at Ionia 
Manufacturing 28 years.  He was a member of the American Legion, Senior 
Citizens, and First Presbyterian church.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth; one son, Marvin, of Ionia; and two 
sisters, Mrs. Arthur VanValkenburg of Ann Arbor, and Mrs. Ralph Meyer, of Grand 
Rapids, and five grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Meyers-Roetman funeral home, with 
Rev. Harold Johnson officiating.  Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
