Ionia Sentinel - Thursday, May 31, 1900

Mrs. Katie Kuney, and old resident of Lyons, died in the insane asylum at 
Traverse City May 23, and the remains reached Lyons Thursday. The funeral was 
held at the Baptist church Friday at 10 o'clock a.m. E.A. Murphy, of this city, 
is guardian of the estate. The husband and two older sons have not been heard 
from in a long time. 

Friday at the Baptist church the funeral of Mrs. Kate Kuney, who died at 
Traverse City, was held. Interment in Lyons cemetery.
