Gerald R. (Jerry) Kushner, aged 71, of Pewamo and formerly of Dearborn, passed 
away Sept. 9, 2008.

He was born Dec. 31, 1936 in Detroit the son of Michael and Marie (Zonca) 
Kushner. He married Virginia Johnson Dec. 29, 1967. Jerry attended Fordson High 
School in Dearborn.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Virginia of Pewamo; sons David 
Kushner of Okemos and Dan (Sarah) Kushner of Grand Rapids; daughters Alyse 
(Michael) Sandborn of East Lansing and Leanne (Jeff) Anderson of Atlanta, Ga.; 
brother Michael Kushner of North Hollywood, Calif.; sister Lenore Krol of 
Detroit and 5 grandchildren Ethan, Lara and Elin Sandborn, Matthew Kushner and 
Ava Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert.

Funeral Mass will be held Saturday 10:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph’s Catholic 
Church in Pewamo with Father Charlon Mason celebrant. Visitation will be at St. 
Mary’s Chapel in Westphalia on Friday from 7-9 p.m. where there will be a 
scriptural wake service at 8 p.m. Anyone wishing may make memorial 
contributions to Right to Life of Michigan or Sparrow Hospice. Arrangements by 
Lake Funeral Home in Muir. Online condolences may be made at
