Lake Odessa Wave, 17 Jul 1930

Katharine Mary Morlok was born in Motzinger, Germany, March 30, 1883, and died 
after an operation at Pennock hospital, Hastings, July 7, 1930.

In May 29, 1892 she came to America with her parents.  She was baptized when a 
child and on November 14, 1897 was confirmed in the Lutheran church of Woodland.

January 20, 1904 she was united in marriage to Emanuel William Kussmaul, to 
this union one child was born Velma Arloa.

She leaves to mourn their loss, her husband and daughter, her mother Mrs. 
Katharine Morlok of Lansing, three brothers, William of Woodland, John and Carl 
of Lansing, besides a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral services were held at the United Brethren church in Woodbury, 
Wednesday, July 9, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Krauss of Lansing in charge.  
Burial at Lakeside cemetery, Lake Odessa.
