Excerpts from Obituary:
R. JAY KUSSMAUL of Lansing
Died Saturday March 30, 2019 surrounded by family & friends.
Born June 20, 1931 in Lake Odessa, MI to Stuart & Audrey (Demaray) Kussmaul.
Raised on a farm with parents & sister, Margene.
A star Athletic in high school wearing his lucky number #16 Jersey.
Graduated from Michigan State College (MSU) & was a lifetime MSU fan.
Served in the U.S. Army as a 1st Lieutenant and was also a paratrooper.
Served in the MI National Guards retiring with rank of Major after 25 years.
Had a lifelong career in Human Resource for  Fisher Body.
Married Catherine McKenna, they raised 4 children, and 9 grandchildren. 
Member of the Knights of Columbus as a Fourth Degree Knight.
Member of the St. Gerard Catholic Church & served as Eucharistic Minister.
Survived by his wife Catherine, children, sister, 4 nieces & extended family 
members & friends.
Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 10:30 at St. Gerard 
Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John Klein as Celebrant.
Visitation  Tuesday, April 9, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Palmer, Bush & Jensen 
family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel. Rosary at 7 PM.
Interment to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
