Lake Odessa Wave - March 15, 1956
           EMMANUEL KUSSMAUL DIED THURSDAY
   Emmanuel Kussmaul 80, retired farmer passed away Friday night at Pennock Hospital
where he had been a 
patient about ten days.  He was found unconacious by his brother George at his home
Wednesday evening 
and had suffered a severe stroke of paralysis.
   He had been a resident of this area most of his life coming to Sebewa township
with his parents Simon and 
Katherine Kussmaul when he was six years of age from Wuertenburg, Germany/  He moved
to the village five 
weeks ago from his farm northeast of town.
   Surviving are one son Stuart of Woodland, one brother George of Woodbury; one
sister Mr. Katherine 
Rainvan of Hoakiem, Washington; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held Thursday (today) at 2 p.m. at the Pickens Funeral
chapel with burial in Lakeside 
cemetery.
  Rev. George Neiman officiated.
