Mrs. Andrew Kuttler, a pioneer of Orleans township, passed away Sunday afternoon at 2:30 as the Evangelical bell was tolling for the funeral of her husband. Mrs. Kuttler was reported to be seriously ill at the time of the death of her husband last Friday afternoon. Both Mr. and Mrs. Kuttler have been residents of Ionia county since the days before the Civil war. Mr. Kuttler was foreman of the Sanford Yeomans farm in Easton township for many years until he later purchased the little farm near the village of Orleans. Mrs. Kuttler was born in Germany, but came to this county when quite young. Mrs. Kuttler is survived by four sisters, it is stated. Mrs. Barbara Doppmann, Fred Cutler, Mrs. Carrie Defendorf, Mrs. Seymour Showerman, and Mrs. Archie Anderson, all of Ionia, and Mrs. Dora Wiler, of Detroit, are relatives. The funeral will be held from the Evangelical church, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. Herbert Stressman will officiate. Burial will take place in the Oak Hill cemetery, beside her husband.
