Ralph Youngs Kyser, 84, of 4955 Kyser Road, Lowell, died Friday at Butterworth
hospital in Grand Rapids.  He was born in Orleans, July 7, 1893, the son of
Charles and Lydia Youngs Kyser and was a veteran of World War I.  He married the
former Berniece Dukes February 16, 1927 in LaGrange, Indiana.

A teacher for 30 years, he was supervisor of education at the Michigan
Reformatory at Ionia for several years before his retirement.  Mr. Kyser was a
member of the Saranac American Legion and the South Boston Grange.

Survivors include his wife, one son, Douglas of New York; two daughters, Ardith
Cosart of Troy and Barbara Box of Lansing; one sister Mabel Bovee of Lowell;
eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services are Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Roetman-Lake Funeral home with Rev.
Edwin G. Mendenhall of Saranac Community church officiating.  Burial is in
Saranac cemetery.  The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral
home Monday 7 to 8:30 p.m.
