Kyser - Saranac – Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie E. Kyser, 86, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at South Boston Bible church. Rev. Peter Quist and Richard Bolt will officiate and interment will be at South Boston cemetery. Mrs. Kyser of 6496 Hastings road, rural Lowell, died Thursday at Phoenix, Ariz. She was born August 22, 1885, in Ionia county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry C. Freeman. She was married in South Boston December 28, 1904, to Roy Kyser who preceded her in death in January of 1965. She was a member of the South Boston church, past president of Women’s Christian Temperance Union, member of South Boston grange, Women’s Extension club, former 4-H leader and a piano teacher. Surviving are three sons, Donald and Gerald Kyser of Lowell, and Leo Kyser of Clarksville; seven daughters, Mrs. Henry Wylie of Escanaba, Mrs. John Brake of Lake Odessa, Mrs. Ralph Coombe of Oceanside, Calif., Mrs. Clare Alderink of Lowell, Mrs. George Podd of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Forrest Rose of Saranac, and Mrs. Robert O’Conner of Orleans; 42 grandchildren and about 50 great grandchildren; brother, Vern Freeman of Mount Dora, Fla. Mrs. Kyser will be at the Morris-Roetman funeral home in Saranac Sunday. A memorial has been established for the Honey Creek Christian Home for boys near Lowell.
