With her increasing age Mrs. LaBar’s health was becoming poorly and an injury received in a fall last week resulted in her death. Adelaide Jordan was born in Lafayette, Ohio, on June 5, 1850, the daughter of John and Mary Jordan. She later moved to Pierson, Michigan and the greater part of her life was spent there. She was married to Charles J. LaBar, who died in 1922, Nine children were born to the couple, four of whom survive. For the past 24 years, Mrs. LaBar has resided in this city at the Bricker home. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ada Finch of Rockford and Mrs. Bricker of this city; two sons, Clinton and Seth of Grand Rapids, and a sister, Mrs. Lillian Hayes of Battle Creek. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Fitzjohn funeral home with Rev. J. H. Cornelius of Lakeview, a former pastor of the deceased, officiating. Burial was in the family lot at Pierson cemetery. Pall bearers were William Thatcher, Ed. King, Joe Doyle, Ed. Tower, Herman Heether and John Richardson.
