Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Jane Laden, 91, who died Saturday afternoon in
Lansing, will be attended at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at the Boynton funeral home,
on Rich street with the Rev. Heath Goodwin officiating.  Burial will be at
Highland Park cemetery.

Mrs. Laden was born November 26, 1863 in Brockville, Ontario, and was the widow
of James H. Laden.  She had lived in Ionia for 68 years and for the last 15
years made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Catherine Crawford, 520 Florence
street, Lansing.  Mr. Laden died in 1930.

She was a former member of the Queen Esther Chapter O.E.S. and of the White
Shrine.  She was also a member of the former Women’s Relief Corps and for 51
years had made the memorial wreath for the memorial at the court house.

Surviving besides her daughter, Catherine, are two sons, Harry and Blaine of
Ionia.  The family will be at the funeral home Monday evening from 7 to 9 o’clock.
