Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 21 Sep 1942

Mrs. Margarette LaDow, 91, died Sunday morning at 4 o’clock at the home of her 
daughter, Mrs. Fred Loree, of Lansing.  She had been ill but a short time.  
Born in Butler, Pennsylvania, she came to Ionia with her parents in 1875.  She 
was married to Albert B. LaDow who preceded her in death.  They had lived in 
Ionia county for many years and after the death of Mr. LaDow, she had made her 
home with her daughter at Lansing.  She was a member of the Lansing Church of 
Christ.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Loree; two sons, Lee LaDow of Detroit and 
Norman LaDow of Ionia; four grandchildren, Mrs. Forest Renwick of Saranac, Miss 
Velva Hall of Grand Rapids, Kenneth Loree and Miss Maxine Loree of Lansing; six 
great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday from the Estes-Leadley funeral home 
in Lansing a 1 o’clock and from the Stone funeral home in Ionia at 3:30 
o’clock.  Rev. Wattleworth of the Church of Christ of Lansing will officiate 
and burial will be in Highland Park cemetery.
