The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, January 2, 1940


Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Ethel LaDow, 48, who died of bronchial 
pneumonia, Wednesday, December 27, were held from Boynton’s funeral chapel, 
Friday afternoon, December 29, at 2 p.m.  Rev. Clarence A. Brady officiated at 
the services and interment was held Saturday afternoon in the Bellaire 
cemetery.  Mrs. Thane Benedict, Sr. and Mrs. Ray A. Colwell sang musical 
selections at the services.  Bearers were Archie Boltz, Fred Boltz, Ray Miner, 
Tom Warren, Jesse Root and Lee LaDow.

Attending the services from out of town were Mrs. Margaret LaDow and Mr. and 
Mrs. Fred Loree of Lansing, Mrs. Abbie Gilliam and George McDonald of Dallas, 
Texas, Mrs. Wray Green and W. L. Green of Bellaire, Mr. and Mrs. Forest 
Renwick, Ray Miner and Tom Warren of Saranac and Mr. and Mrs. Lee LaDow of 
Detroit.
