G. J. Start of this village preached. Several Masons and friends attended from Lake Odessa and the ritualistic service of the Masonic organization was used. The following Lake Odessa business men acted as pall bearers: George Kart, Forrest Branch, Leon Gilson, W. C. McCartney, Clarence Yager and Floyd Gates, other business men in attendance from here were Allen Behler, William Gilson, Carl Jordan, Roy Braden and the wives of many of the men. Burial was at Allegan. He leaves his widow, an Allegan girl, and a brother Dr. John LaDue of Chicago.
