G. Coney, died this morning at 9:30, after a long sickness. Funeral service at 9:30 on Thursday morning, at the Church of Christ. The remains will be taken to Royal Oak for interment. Subsequent Publication: Thursday, February 28, 1901 The funeral service at Church of Christ, this morning, for Comrade Ransom LaDuke was largely attended, W. H. Borden post and the Woman’s Relief Corps, especially, being present in unusual numbers. The discourse was by Rev. A. B. Griffith, and the church singing was by Mrs. G. L. Tunison, Mrs. Horace Peck, Prof. Easton and Horace Peck. The carriers were comrades from Borden post, in which body deceased was an active and respected member in his lifetime, as follows: Benj. R. Covert, N. L. Brookins, William Milligan, Edwin W. Merriett, Edw. J. VanDoren, and August Sorge. The remains were taken to Royal Oak for interment. The funeral party accompanying was composed of the bereaved widow, and Mr. and Mrs. Dell Phelps.
