Lenore E. Lafferty, 80, of Ionia, died at her home Wednesday.  She was born 
Nov. 4, 1907 in Wisconsin, the daughter of Charles and Lottie (Barton) 
Kehring.  She married Walter Lafferty, and they moved to Ionia around 1945.  
She worked for years in the cafeteria at the Ionia High School in charge of 
the kitchen.  He preceded her in death in 1978.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Laffler, of Ionia; one son, Gregory of 
Orleans; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lucille 
Stoakes of Ionia, Eileen Hafner of Kalamazoo and Marie Kahring of Troy; many 
nieces and nephews.  She was also preceded in death by one brother, Harold.

A graveside eservice will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Easton 
Cemetery, with the Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating.  Memorial contributions 
may be made to the Michigan Heart Association in care of the Cook Funeral 
Home, Ionia.
