He was born in Belding. He moved to Florida in 1988 from Port Huron. He worked as a metal worker and crane operator and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is survived by wife, Betty of Ocala, Fla.; daughters, Janice Laducer of Ocala, Fla., Kathy Keeney of Belding, Marie Steinhaus of Ocala, Fla., Joanne Harvey of Ocala, Fla., Donna Arnold of Anthony, Fla., Norma Lafferty of Jacksonville, Fla.; sons, David Lafferty of Belding, Jonathan Lafferty of Ocala, Fla., Benjamin Lafferty of Ocala, Fla.; sisters, Alice Crow of Belleview, Fla., Carol Rasmussen of Marble, N.C., Zereta Crow of Geneseo, Ill; brothers, Jim Lafferty of Rockford, Hollis Lafferty of Rockford, Calvin Lafferty of Orleans; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
