The Carson City Gazette, Thursday, February 2, 1933


Delilah Foreman was born in Holmes county, Ohio, January 1, 1855, and passed 
from this life at the home of her daughter in Holt, Michigan, January 21, 1933, 
at the age of 78 years and 21 days.  About the year 1878 she was united in 
marriage to I. A. Laffler and since that time had lived almost continuously in 
Hubbardston.  

The following children survive:  Mrs. Nettie Anderson of Muskegon, Mrs. Zola 
Belcher of Holt, Jason of Carson City and Charles of Hubbardston.  A son, 
Harry, died in August of 1932.  There are also five grandchildren, a brother, 
John Foreman of Entrican and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Townsend of North Star.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Hubbardston Methodist church, 
with the pastor officiating. Burial was in the West Side cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Merithew attended the funeral of their grandmother, Mrs. 
Laffler at Hubbardston Wednesday afternoon.
