Excerpts from Lansing Obituary

JOYCE GERTRUDE LAFLEUR

Died Sunday, August 10, 2025-age 86 of Portland,MI.
Born October 17, 1938, daughter of Isadore & Esther (Felpausch) Schrauben.
Joyce graduated from Portland St. Patrick Catholic High School Class of 1957.
She was married on January 4, 1964 to Joseph LaFleur, he passed in 2023.
She worked for Michigan State University as a Clerk from 1957-1968.
Then worked for the State of Michigan from 1978 to retirement in 1992.
Joyce was awarded the AARP Andrus award for Community Service in 2008.
She is survived by her three daughters, Janean Karpus (Mark) of IL., Janette 
Guild (Kevin) of Fenton, MI. and Janell Henderson of Idaho, & their children.
Also surviving are her siblings; sister,Karen Wirth (Ken) & brothers,Gene 
(Donna),Gary,Marvin,Charlie (Kathy),Al (Karla),& many other family members. 
There will be no visitation or funeral.
A Celebration of Life service will be on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 12:00-
3:00p.m. at The Wagon Wheel, Portland,MI.
