Belding Banner-News, 18 Nov 1971

Funeral services for Frank Alfred La Fontsee, 91, were held November 8 at the
Charles M. Courser Funeral Home.  He died November 5 at the Belding Community
Hospital after being ill for several weeks.  Mr. La Fontsee was born March 12,
1880 in Traverse City.  He was residing at 9701 Belding Road at the time of his
death and was the owner of La Fontsee’s Tea Room at that same address.  He had
also lived in Lansing.

He is survived by his wife Minnie; one daughter Mrs. Lyle (Ethel) Robinson of
Detroit; one son Frank A. La Fontsee Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona; one step-son Harry
Fitch of Bend, Oregon; one sister, Mrs. Orma Broadfoot of Traverse City; nine
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Rev. Wilford D. Wood officiated at the services.  Interment was at Otisco
Township Cemetery, Ionia County.  Pallbearers were Dana Hodges, Earl Huff, John
Rhoades, Richard Wagner, Spencer Cornell and Ken Mendenhall.
