The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, January 2, 1971

Mrs. Mary Laird, 102, known as Mamie, died Thursday morning at Ionia Manor 
following an extended illness.  She was born June 7, 1868 in Ionia county east 
of Lake Odessa. She was the daughter of Clark and Mary Crapo Millison.  She 
had lived with her grandparents and also in Missouri before coming to Woodbury 
and then to Lake Odessa about 40 years ago.

October 14, 1891, she was married to William Laird who died November 1947.  
There are no immediate survivors.

Funeral services were Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake 
Odessa.  Rev. Marvin Zimmerman officiated and interment was at Lakeside 
cemetery, Lake Odessa.
