Mrs. Rose Laiza, 59, of 469 Rice street died Monday afternoon following an 
illness of 33 years.  She was born in Chicago July 17, 1903, the daughter of 
Paul and Anna Lipar.  September 27, 1921 she was married to Martin Laiza and 
had since lived at the present residence on Rice street.

Surviving are her husband, Martin, a daughter, Mrs. Clifford Ferguson of Ionia; 
one son, Richard of Ionia; six grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Anna Sochor of 
Ionia, Mrs. Mary Klein of Kalamazoo, Mrs. Bessie Stap and Mrs. Lillian Sherwood 
of Grand Rapids, and Mrs. Agnes Murphy of Rockford; and two brothers, Charles 
Lipar of Grand Rapids, and Dr. William Lipar of Winchester, Ind.

Funeral service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Stone-Kauffman funeral home with 
the Rev. Floyd Emshwiller of First Christian church officiating.
