Ionia Shopper's Guide - Sat. January 13, 2024

            LAIZA

Barbara Ann Laiza, age 94, of Ionia,MI passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024. 
She was born on June 2, 1929 in Boston Twp. the daughter of Alexander and Marian 
(Morrill) Reusser.

Barbara married Richard Laiza n November 3, 1949. He passed away April 8, 1999. 
She was a member of the Ionia Moose Lodge.She enjoyed square dancing, camping, 
traveling, sewing and gardening.Barbara worked at Rather school in the Kitchen 
for 30 years.

Surviving are her children Vicki (Gaylord) Miller of Portland and Mark Laiza of 
Ionia; grandchildren Ethan (Kailey) Laiza, Cameron Laiza, Tiana Miller and Theo 
(Natalee) Miller; great-grandchildren Hayden Laiza, Avery Laiza, Emma Laiza, 
Alex Laiza and Keeven Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband 
Richard and sister Vivian Claycomb.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Lake Funeral 
Home in Ionia with Pastor Nancy Patera officiating. Interment Easton Cemetery. A 
visitation will take place 2  hours prior to services (12-2). Those wishing may 
make memorial contributions to St.Jude's or Shriners.Online Condolences may be
