The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, February 24, 1936

Funeral services for Charles C. Lake, 53, who died at his home on Adams 
street, Thursday morning were held at the residence Saturday afternoon at 2 
o’clock.  Rev. L. J. May officiated and interment was at the Sheridan cemetery.

Rev. and Mrs. L. J. May furnished music, and Charles Schaffer, John 
Weatherwax, Roy Winchell and Herbert Winchell were pall bearers.

Relatives attending from out of town were: his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Worden 
Lake, of Greenville; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lake of Greenville, and Mrs. James 
Mitchell and daughter of Greenville.
