Luella “Peggy” Lake, 76, of Orleans passed away Saturday, December 13, 2003 at 
Metron of Belding.  Peggy was born in Sheridan on June 8, 1927.

She was raised in the Stanton and Sheridan area and attended Sheridan School.  
In June of 1957 in Angola, Indiana, Peggy married Monte Lake, her husband of 
more than 460 years.  Peggy liked to work in the garden, can, and raise 
horses.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and Bud Greenhoe; 
and four sisters, Marie, Dorothy Antcliff, Alma, and Margaret Sower.  She is 
survived by her husband, Monte Lake.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Huffman and Brigham Funeral Chapel, 
Belding, with Pastor Ken Harger officiating.  Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 
to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
