Guy R. Lake, 83, of Greenville, died Friday, June 26, 1996 it United Memorial
Hospital, Longterm Care Unit.  He was born July 1, 1913 in Carr, the son of Roy
and Emma Sims Lake.  He attended Locks School in Mason County and was employed
at Gibsons for 33 years before retiring in 1981.  He married Ivahdell Trumbull
Sept. 21, 1962 in Greenville.

He is survived by his wife, Ivahdell of Greenville; seven children: Shirley
Freund of Belding, Barbara (Charles) Wood of Belding, Laura (Ross) Hoekstra of
Snover, Robert (Ellen) Lake of Belding, Dianna Jeffrey of Edmore, Donald Jeffrey
of Sheridan, and Dan (Rita) Jeffrey of Saranac; 25 grandchildren; 41
great-grandchildren; one sister, Miriam Vanderwal of Haslett; and one
sister-in-law, Marian Lake of Belding.  He was preceded in death by one sister,
Leona Vanderwal and two brothers, Clarence and James Lake.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Johnson Funeral Home in Belding. 
Pastor Kenneth Harger will be officiating.  Interment will be in Woodard Lake
Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Sunday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American
Lung Association.
