Virginia H. (Smith) Lake, 86, of Saranac, passed away July 7, 2013 in 
Charlotte. She was born May 28, 1927 in Pewamo the daughter to Herbert and 
Gertrude (Fox) Smith.

Virginia married Morrison Lake on Feb. 21, 1948. He passed away in 2004. 
Virginia liked live music and playing bingo.

Virginia is survived by her children, Gary (Chris) Lake of Mulliken, David 
(Judy) Lake lf Lake Odessa, Brenda (Harry) Cotton of Ohio, Leonard (Ginger) 
Lake of Charlotte, and Pamela (Dennis) Normington of Portland; grandchildren, 
Stacy (Chad) Jones, Justin (Esther) Lake, Nick (Denise) Lake, Nicole Lake, 
Shawn Lake, Daniel Normington, Jason Normington, and Amanda Normington; great 
grandchildren,  Carissa Jones, Carson Jones, Alexis Stewart, Madison Lake, 
Camerun Lake, Tristan Normington, Lila Normington, and Emerson Lake; sister, 
Ilene Weber of Muskegon; brother-in-law, L.G. Lake of Belding and many  nieces 
and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Morrison Lake; 
grandchildren, Dale, Becky, and Susan Cotton; brothers, Norman, Raymond, Gerald 
and sister, Rosemary.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 12 at Outreach Christian 
Church with Pastor Fred Lab officiating. Interment Orleans Cemetery. Memorial 
contributions may be made in Virginia's name to the American Cancer Society or 
American Heart Association. Funeral arrangements made by Lake Funeral Home of 
Ionia.
