Belding- Robert A. Lake, 73, of Belding, died Sunday evening, Dec. 16, 2012, at 
Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.

Robert was born July 13, 1939, in Belding, the son of Guy and Elaine (Johnson) 
Lake.

He had worked for a number of years at Electrolux, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed 
working on and driving his modified Ford Model T car, hunting, fishing and 
spending time with family. Robert was married on Feb. 8, 1964, in Belding to 
Ellen Johnson. 

Robert is loved and survived by his wife, Ellen, and their children, Cindy and 
Brian Hughes, Bob Lake, all of Belding; his grandchildren, Bradley, Tiffany and 
Steven Hughes, Samantha and Kristina Lake; one great-grandchild, Emma Green; 
his siblings, Shirley Freund, Barbara and Charles Wood, Laura and Ross Hoekstra 
of Jenison; and a half brother, Ross "Skeeter" and Marylou Taylor of Fenwick. 

Robert was preceded by his parents and one half brother, Robert "Skip" Taylor.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, 
Belding, with Pastor Byron Davey officiating. Committal prayers will follow in 
Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.

Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Alvah N. Belding 
Library.
